Build on people, Driven by purpose

At The Handproject, our mission is to restore dignity and opportunity to upper-limb amputees in lower-income countries.

Our vision is to provide three-in-one prostheses: mechanical, cosmetic and tool, to restore dignity and functionality to every person in need.

We have been

Operating for 7+ years (with 12 years of experience behind it), the project is run from our headquarters in
Germany, where the prosthetics are produced and shipped.

We partner with local NGOs and train orthopaedic technicians so they can fit and distribute hands sustainably, with no expensive travel required. Each prosthetic is assembled through a team event, making every build both an impact and a funding moment.

AMBASSADORS

Our Ambassadors are past recipients of our hands who now help us to promote the
project, to help mobilise beneficiaries, train them and also provide counselling.
